The Bruce High Quality Foundation

BHQFU FALL 2013 TIME REMAINING
God I wished I lived in NYC sometimes...
not all the time, sometimes...
The Bruce High Quality Foundation University—a one-room schoolhouse located just above a bodega—returns this September. The BHQFU is like grad school, but it’s mostly free, with classes offered on nights and weekends.
In a lot of ways it’s better than grad school—instructors are accessible, and unbounded by university bureaucracy, they end up crafting courses straight out of a dream notebook.

Painter David Salle is teaching a class about how to write about art, minus theory. Friday night’s performance critique will begin with a diary-style writing session. Over the course of the semester, Chat Room guests will include Hans Ulrich Obrist, Ben Davis, and Liam Gillick, each of whom will be on hand to discuss their work with you, in person.Family Dinner will bring together artists and curators for a weekly brainstorming session held over a big ol’ dinner. And then there’s a bi-weekly movie night. Now we just have to decide which classes to take.
